Lil' Wayne: Tha Carter III

Let me start by saying that I usualy only listen to Ludacirs & T.I.;however, it was literally impossible for me to go without doing a review on Lil' Wayne's "Tha Carter III" released on June 10, 2008.

The album was led by the #1 single "Lollipop" which is currently being followed up by the smashing single "A Milli", a personal favorite. Having never listened to a previous Weezy album, I can only comment on what I've heard on this one.

Standout tracks include the Jaz-Z assisted "Mr. Carter", the T-Pain assisted "Got Money", the Babyface assisted "Comfortable" the Robin Thicke assisted "Tie My Hands", and of course the aforementioned "A Milli."

Although not particularly a Bobby V. fan, he does justice on "Mrs. Officer" where Lil' Wayne's flow and delivery is just insane. Speaking of instanity, Weezy's "Dr. Carter" and "Phone Home" make me wonder about him, even though both tracks are enjoyable and laughable at the same time.

Already the #1 selling album of the year in the U.S. I can't wait to hear & see where Lil' Wayne goes with this taste of mainstream celebrity.
